As a small-business owner, up until this point, you may have managed your money successfully. Up to a point it is even OK for you to manage your affairs in Excel with little to no financial knowledge or experience.

  1. Another great thing about hiring an accountant is that it can take stress away from your life. That way you aren’t worrying about trying to keep all your finances in order, and you can leave it up to someone else who actually knows how to properly handle the finances. Another good benefit of hiring an accountant is that it prevents you from accidentally messing your finances up if you don’t have much experience in that field.

    • Very true Rosie. Way too often we engage with clients that tried doing it themselves due to the concerns about cost and ended up paying more to get the mess sorted out. Never take a short term approach when it comes to your business finances – it will almost always end up costing you more in the long run. 🙂
